Summary of ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR TOPICS COVERED ON SEPTEMBER 21 2011

  • A- using the transformation tools (rotate,scale, reflect)
  • B-Use masks to reveal only part of an image, object, or design (command 7 create clipping mask)
  • C- Use fonts or dingbats. Download them at dafont.com
  • D- Add dark and light shapes with low opacity to create volume shadow and highlights
  • E- Use the gradient mesh tool to give objects volumetric quality as well
  • F- Use object > live trace > make and expand to translate raster graphics into vector paths
  • G- Use the symbol sprayer tool and custom symbols for repeated elements
  • H- Use option with the transformation tools to make a copy of your transformations
