LOGO REVISION

After completing and refining your logo use it in the design of a business card, letter head, and envelope. Consider the cohesiveness between all three designs. Consider interesting design of each. Magical Scene















Since I didn't get to have my project reviewed in class, any thoughts/comments would be much appreciated. :)

Using Adobe Illustrator create a minimum of 10 logo designs and post them to the blog for critique before next class. Carefully consider the points brought up in class and reiterated in the Smashing Magazine article. You can choose on of the following options as your "client"


  1. Any of the Logo Contests on 99 DESIGNS »»»
  2. A local non profit or community organization in need of a logo (not your friend or a band)
  3. (this Fictitious Business) Parkers Mobile Pet Grooming Services (this company wants a logo in light blue, grey, and dark red that is classic with a hint of playfulness). Punctuality and efficiency are of high importance to this company as well as value and customer service. The specialize in Cats and Dogs.
THE TYPE TOOL, PEN TOOL, AND PATHFINDER TOOLS are imperative on this project.

Homework for OCTOBER 12th

























Using four seperate source images of your choice create a composite cohesive final piece that contains the following:

  • A castle
  • A dragon
  • A Knight
  • A Tree
Make this project look as convincing as possible. The elements should not looked photoshopped. It should look as if you just snapped the picture. The key to making this convincing will be proper selections techniques, color adjustments, lighting, and scale. Post your final image on the blog prior to class next week along with your short video assignment.

In Class I-Movie demonstration and example



Using Photobooth, Photoshop (not required), Archive.org, and Imovie make a short video work that includes the following:

  • Titles
  • Transitions
  • Sound Effects
  • Video Effects
