OUT OF CLASS ASSIGNMENT

Develop an idea for a small object they would like to creat and print. Keep in mind the final printed object will be about the size of a tangerine. You will also be creating the packaging and a poster for the “product” using photoshop and illustrator. The theme for this years project is to create something for food, cooking, or eating. The filament we print with is a bio plastic and is food safe if that effects your idea. Start sketching and collecting images especially for packaging inspiration. Share your findings on the blog.

Objective: Create your own currency. Using illustrator and photoshop make a fictitious currency. Study other form of money to be inspired. It should include detail and custom patterns that your create. Consider the function of money as well as how you can comment on its purpose both visually and conceptually.
